This is an 8 inch long sample of our Sandstone peel and stick wood wall & ceiling planks. This sample will let you see the color, quality and finish of our planks in person.

Q: Will this stick on a ceiling?

A: Yes, Stikwood can be and often is used on ceilings. You will want to make sure the ceiling is not
"too rough" as many ceilings are often the popcorn texture. If the ceiling is popcorn texture, it may
need to be sanded or removed first. If you are unsure whether or not your ceiling needs to be sanded first - try a
sample piece first and/or send me a photo.

Q: I am remodeling my daughter's bathroom and want to put this on the ceiling.
Will the steam cause it to buckle?

A: Thank you for your interest in Stikwood! We do have some guidelines for bathrooms that you might find interesting and these are due to the fact that Stikwood is 100% real wood. Our Naturally Reclaimed woods are completely unfinished. That being said, we do offer a sealant for them called splash safe for an additional $2 per square ft.
When installing stikwood into areas with high humidity like bathrooms there are two moisture considerations to take into account. First is the average relative humidity of the space it is installed in. This needs to be between 30% and 60%. The product needs to acclimate (store) in these conditions for at least 72 hours prior to installation.
Second is the moisture content of the surface stikwood is being attached to. Although the adhesive is very moisture resistant once adhered it must be installed in dry conditions. The surface you are installing to must be dry, having a moisture content less than 8%. To put that into perspective freshly painted drywall can have a moisture content of 20% and take a few weeks to get below 8%
depending on conditions.

Q: I am doing a wall in a manufactured home. Will the panels separate over time. We have had thet happen o. A vinyl plank floor.

A: Great question! Stikwood should do just fine on that surface. Every situation is different so it is hard to give you a definitive answer. I highly recommend testing a
sample out to make sure the conditions of your project are compatible with stikwood. You can find

If you’re still unsure, you can err on the side of caution and first nail/screw a thin piece of primed
and/or painted plywood over your project's surface first. Primed and/or painted plywood is the
perfect substrate for stikwood!

Lastly, don't forget to order a J Roller! Stikwood's pressure sensitive adhesive relies on thorough
and even pressure. You can get a J Roller on our accessories page too!

Q: Would this adhere to any flat surface even concrete?

A: Stikwood will pretty much stick to any reasonably flat, dry and dust free surface. We don't recommend concrete however due to the fact that it tends to hold moisture and can be fairly dusty/grainy. Most of the time when people install Stikwood over concrete or brick, they will first cover the surface with a thin sheet of primed plywood. This article is a good example of how to do it.
